Get away from it all with the kids, explore and discover the joys of glamping in Warwickshire and hiding away for a while with them, at Coplow Woodland Retreat.
Set in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside it’s a world away from the everyday and packed with everything on your doorstep that kids will love. It’ll build on their inquisitive nature, give them the freedom to roam on their own, investigate and uncover a new and different environment that’s full of life. They’ll enjoy the sights and sounds of nature all around them, find trees to climb, games to play, netting to scramble up and a rope swing dangling from branches to leap on.
We provide lots of fun activities to educate and excite their minds, helping them to get involved and learn about the natural surroundings around them.
With our specially prepared activity sheets they’ll enjoy exploring the woodlands with treasure hunts, twig, leaf, bird & bug spotting.
Before you know it they’ll know all of their animal neighbours and trees by name, be building dens and creating an endless list of inventive things to do, sparked by their own imagination. Even collecting the firewood for the pit is a different and fun adventure for kids, let alone eating outside in the woods, or melting marshmallows around the fire at night once it’s lit.
Our unique Warwickshire glamping experience brings families or friends closer together than any other break can do. The nature of the environment is beautifully calm and peaceful and after all the time spent having fun outdoors in the fresh air, the kids will all sleep soundly. Leaving you time to relax and have some well earned me time in glorious surroundings.

There’s only one problem with a break as exciting and different as this…getting the kids to leave after your stay won’t be that easy.
AS IF YOU MIGHT NEED ANY MORE CONVINCING, A GLAMPING BREAK LIKE THIS HAS FANTASTIC HEALTH & MENTAL STIMULATION BENEFITS FOR CHILDREN.
There are multiple blogs and expert scientific studies on the rich health benefits of nature for children and the need for them to experience the freedom of the wild outdoors.
A study by the National Trust highlights that children may be suffering from ‘nature deficit disorder’ because they don’t spend enough time outdoors.
Tim Gill, one of the UK’s leading commentators on childhood has written about the significance of spending time in a natural environment.
“Natural places are singularly engaging, stimulating, life-enhancing environments where children can reach new depths of understanding about themselves, their abilities and their relationship with the world around them.”
Studies also conclude that children are far more inventive when exposed to nature based playgrounds and engage in more creative play than children in asphalt / structure-based playgrounds.
This is why many schools and nurseries are offering children more outdoor play plus forest schools and mud kitchens are becoming more and more popular year on year. It inspires them to use a combination of all their senses, not just sight and sound and allows their imagination to run free.
When you take all the modern distractions of everyday life away from a child, a simple stick found on a walk in a beautiful forest can soon become a magical wand, a brave knights sword…or even a pirate ship floating down a stream.
