Pack their doggy bag to give your best friend the time of their lives glamping with you in the beautiful rural Warwickshire setting of Coplow Woodland Retreat.
Woodland glamping is one of the best breaks for families, or couples who have a pet dog. You certainly don’t need a dog to enjoy getting away from it all in such an amazing place, but if you do then ‘walkies’ with them will never be the same again. All doggies need to be booked in and will be welcomed with open arms. We love to see their excited happy faces and wagging tails when they arrive in our Warwickshire woodlands.
Coplow Woodland Retreat and surrounding Warwickshire countryside is a dog walker’s paradise, with acres of stunningly gorgeous views and pathways waiting to be explored. Open fields and meadows for pooches to scamper across, grassy banks to leap over and woody forest floors to sniff and search for sticks. They can run free as long as they are good-natured and not a nuisance to any of our other four legged or two legged guests when off their lead. However, the excitement of all this freedom and with nature’s wildlife all about them it’s a good idea to have a lead with you to keep them in check when needed.

To kick start your glamping adventure we have mapped out a couple of picturesque walks you may love; one takes you to two fabulous dog friendly pubs in Barford village (roughly an hour long walk), the other is a shorter walk down to the Avon River to a perfect picnic spot (20-30 minutes). Our guests have total access to explore the tranquillity of the fabulous ancient Warwickshire woodland (Part of the Sherbourne Estate). Within the grounds you’ll come across a small rustic woodland play area, with a rope swing, climbing netting and swing ball for the children to enjoy. There is also a communal BBQ hut for anyone to use and cook up a tasty feast. Where you’ll be staying is an idyllic private little spot in the woodland with all the modern comforts built into your accommodation so you will feel warm and cosy at any time of year.

A FEW THINGS YOU MAY NEED TO THINK ABOUT PACKING FOR YOUR WOODLAND GLAMPING ESCAPE WITH YOUR DOG, SO THEIR STAY IS AS COMFORTABLE AS YOURS:
1. Their bed & bedding, or a favourite blanket, so they have a familiar and comfortable place to sleep.
2. Food & water bowls are provided but bring enough of their favourite food for the duration of your stay. A water bottle & pop up lightweight rubber bowl for the rucksack is useful.
3. We provide a few little doggy treats so they feel pampered on their holiday adventure but they may have a favourite you might want to pack.
4. Their lead & long extendable lead, plus a collar with ID tags
(that are up-to-date)
5. Any medication they may need
6. A towel, to dry off after a muddy wet walk, or in summer months a cooling mat or vest to help them cool down.
7. Because they’ll spend more time outside in the elements and depending on the time of year; a coat to keep them warm, or one to protect them from the sun. A colourful bright one so
you can spot them easily at distance is not a bad idea.
8. A pet first aid kit, just in case of any little accidents, cuts, or stings.
9. Their toothbrush and toothpaste.
10. Poop bags. We do provide these because we expect everyone to clean up after their doggy friends and respect the area for other guests and children.
You’re freedom is being here and there are lots of interesting things to discover close by, just check first that they are happy for you to take your dog along too.
If you decide to venture a bit further afield, there are many local attractions to choose from:
